我的鼻竇炎症狀已經是1990年左右的往事了，確切時間無法記得很清楚，只記得每次吃熱騰騰麵食的時候，鼻水總是無法控制的流下來，不得已只好求治耳鼻喉科醫師。經過診斷，說我鼻中樑歪曲，必須手術，醫師向我介紹了整個開刀的細節。因為當時的醫學技術還沒有微創手術，必須從嘴唇翻過來進行手術，想起來十分的恐怖。記得之前我因為心臟問題住院時，隔床病人就是剛剛動過鼻子手術的，他告訴我，此種手術要住院2-3天，這在我心底埋下了陰霾，於是我放棄開刀的念頭。

此時，熱心的朋友介紹我作民間療法，我相信並接受了。此種治療是用草藥從鼻子直接塞進去，用燒的方式來治療。很不幸，民間療法不但沒有治好我鼻竇炎引起流鼻水的毛病，反而使我的嗅覺完全喪失了。在閒聊時，我把此事告訴師兄姊們，師兄姊們笑言我六根斷了一根，當然這斷根之說，實屬茶餘笑談。

記得2010年初，剛踏入佛門時，到Mark Lin師兄（西雅圖劉惠秀的先生）家的佛堂聞法，每次聞完法音，我們慣例地泡茶聊天，其實當時由於佛學常識很淺薄，加之對南無第三世多杰羌佛的四川口音還聽不習慣，所以恭聞法音幾乎都聽不懂（注：這是本人福報不夠使然），但是每週六打完網球，總是有熱心的師兄載我來聞法，每次在車上我們總是交換意見，彼此都知道根本聽不懂，但也彼此互相安慰鼓勵，說雖然聽不懂法音，但是還是會有加持的，所以我才能勉強堅持聞法。後因某種原因Mark Lin師兄家沒能繼續提供聞法，所以大約有半年的時間，就一直荒廢著，我的摯友劉先生也因此斷了學習正法的因緣。

有幸透過Mark Lin師兄介紹，才來到聖法慈善會。第一次參加完共修後，彭媽悄悄的告訴我說，他們再過兩個禮拜要去美國，我很無知的直接反應，問她要去美國哪個地方旅遊，彭媽微笑對我說，不是去玩啦，是去拜見南無第三世多杰羌佛！得知我也可以去，令我又驚又喜。

2013年底，我跟師兄姊們一起去美國，那次我們住在洛杉磯金龍旅館，我們利用半夜，搭大型旅遊車直奔舊金山。此次因緣非常地殊勝，我看到浴佛蓮池聖蹟地，也親眼看到天降甘露，更殊勝無比的是， 南無第三世多杰羌佛傳授了「禪修大法」，並且加持每一位弟子殊勝法水。當佛陀師父從後面台階上親自用柳樹枝灑下法水時，我當下聞到一股殊勝無比的香味，我興奮無比。事後馬上告訴卻吉仁波且師兄，我說：我的鼻子失去嗅覺已經是幾十年的事了，怎麼此時此刻，我能聞到法水的香味呢？我當時非常激動，師兄勉勵我說，不要以此為滿足，要精進修行，還有更殊勝的因緣等待我們。但不管如何，眼見為憑，我今天親自領受佛法的聖跡了。

第一次來到美國，就能如願的親見佛陀恩師，也受到了殊勝加持，回台後我下定決心修行。因為我太太那時在溫哥華，幫女兒照顧孫女，兒子在台南念大學，我一個人住在臺北，每天下班後簡單用完餐，就直奔聖法慈善會佛堂，每天至少聞2到3盤法音，由於發下精進聞法的願力，我對法音也自然能聽得懂了，每每聽聞法音時，從內心生起無比的殊勝感覺，所以回到家，就馬上將當天聞法的心得分享給遠在溫哥華的太太，這種日子持續了好多年。因為那段時間我已經晉升聞法上師了，聞法的受益經常在言談中分享給我周遭的友人，只要有機會就帶著法音和“行動壇城”到友人家一起恭聞法音，這段時光是我踏入佛門最為受用的一段日子。

從我第一次去美國拜見佛陀師父回台後，我想是佛陀師父的法水加持，加上自己的精進聞法，在回台後不久，一次偶然的機會，在就餐熱氣騰騰的麵食時，我準備的衛生紙居然沒有派上用場，以前只要吃熱食，鼻子自然不停的流下鼻水無法控制，這次怎麼連一張衛生紙都沒使用呢？從那時開始，我不管吃任何熱食品，再也沒有流鼻水的現象，雖然鼻子嗅覺還沒恢復，但吃熱食無法控制流鼻水的現象，已經完全消失得無影無蹤了。這應該是我精進聞法後所得到佛菩薩的加持吧。

以上所言，句句實話，如果有半點虛假，願墮無間地獄。
